Can a GeForce 7600 256 mb Pci Expresse run CoD4 well ?
On all low perhaps.
My 7600GT runs it at 1280x1240 with 2AA and the default settings.
Looks great, 30+ FPS.

If my 6800 can, then you're 7600 will do fine.
I've just replaced my 7600gt and was able to run pretty smooth on medium during multiplayer. I was able to increase a couple of settings for texture etc during single player though. That was on a c2d 6300 with 2gb of ram.
uhh, you do realize 30 fps is fucking terrible right...alexbay13 wrote:

with a good config and low resolution you should be able to pull 60-90 constant depending on the rest of your computer.
I got my old 7600 to run it at 125 at 800X600 etc, worked fine.
30fps is hardly fucking terrible idiot. it's anything under 15 you wanna worry aboutkajukenbo_kid wrote:

30+ is decent enough for most games.

From what i understand, anything over 30 the human body cant tell the difference, so 30 is fine.DeathUnlimited wrote:

Lol I beat you all...
GeForce 6200 overclocked 256mb ram (pci bus, not pci-E)
intel pentium 4 2.8 ghz processor
2gb of ram
75 gb hard drive
all of this = cod4 all low 45 fps constant
/win

I use a Athlon 3800+ and a 7600GT. In city maps I can use textures on extra with normal lightning, normal details etc @ 1680 x 1050 with around 40 to 100 FPS, depending on where I look . But on grass maps its 35 fps max. Friggin grass
They really need to let you disable grass or turn down just the grass texture detail. I get 90+ frames all the time (all high, full AA, 1280x1024) until I run into a patch of grass

never mind, obviously no one here knows your frame rate affects the way the game plays.DaMaster wrote:

I have a 7600GS 2 gigs of ram and some stock processer and with my configs and 1024x768 i bounce between 125 and 40
Usually around 60-90 though so it's pretty good

You guys are babies. At the slightest contradiction it turns in to personal insults.Mitch92uK wrote:

By the way, you're both wrong.
the number I've been told is 24 fps, which is what a lot of movies are shot at. but yeah 30 is perfectly fine and will look smooth.DaMaster wrote:

Any one running this game on anything less then a 2.4 Ghz P4 CPU?
I have a 2.0 but everything else on my system exceeds what you need to run CoD4.

I use a 7600 GT aswell.
I can run it on default settings w/ 1024x768 4xAA.
~ 30 FPS

~ 30 FPS
Well that is bullshit too. Human eye can see much more, and everything is smoother the more fps there is.Kamikaze17 wrote:

However over 30fps is just fine for gaming. Of course more looks better, yes, but 30fps is definitely not "fucking terrible". It is usually kept as the borderline for running a game well, or not running a game well.

I use 6600 LE lol
i have a 8800 gts 640mb oc with 4 gigs of ram .. everything cranked on max even aa and i get 120 fps anywhere on the map
I use a 7600 GS, and as long as I change the default texture settings to "manual" and then resolution to "high" rather than "extra" I don't get any lag.
I had a 7300 and had all my settings on low and I averaged 60 fps but now I have my 8800 so I can run at 150+ fps
