Is it just me or is the BackBurner OP and the Flare UP?
I mean not only does the BB guarantee a crit if you attack from behind, but also gives +50 health, bring the total Pyro health up to 225, which is the same as an over-healed medic. The BB is strong enough without the health increase.
The FG doesn't shoot fast enough, have enough ammo, do enough damage to replace the shotgun. Not only that but while it is easy to hit an enemy with the SG, it is pretty hard with the FG due to the slow velocity. Making it shoot faster and giving the flares splash damage would make it more balanced with the shotgun.

I agree with the Backburner, but you have to realise that the Flare Gun is meant for harassing Snipers and setting people alight. It's not designed as a killing weapon.DoctaStrangelove wrote:

I do, the Flare-Gun in and of itself it a fine weapon. The problem is the the shotgun adds something much needed to the pyro: a Ballistic weapon. The Pyro needs to be able to shoot down fleeing foes who escaped to reach of his FT. The FG however doesn't let him do that, and as such needs to be a strong enough alternative that you can be equally effective using either, provided you are proffiecenct in them. However the flaregun isn't useful enough at what it does, and is only really good at distracting snipers.Fenris_GreyClaw wrote:

argh i hate right after new weapons have been released, everyone stops the teamwork and just whores that class so they can get the weapons. i had 9 pyros on my team of 12 ans no surprises, we were losing
New and improved ctf_well. Added in the Pyro update. They've changed the interiors slightly as well to get rid of all the wasted space. It looks like the ctf version is going to be really good now.
