Yes, Mr. Nine Inch Nails himself, Trent Reznor has delivered.

The single "Discipline" has already been free to download from the nin.com website, but I for one didn't expect the complete album named "The Slip" to appear there. But there it is, free for all. Trent, you rock.

Strings attached? Nope. NIN won't even play the "conscience-card" by setting up a "Pay whatever you like"-link in there, like Radiohead did with "In Rainbows" (also a brilliant album, I might add).

The music is available in a variety of formats including high-quality MP3, FLAC or M4A lossless at CD quality and even higher-than-CD quality 24/96 WAVE (over 1 gig d/l). Naturally, NIN has given audiophiles the opportunity to enjoy the music as clearly as humanly possible, as every sound, noise and scratch is there for a purpose.

Right'o, listened it through and through once and it sounds very promising. As NIN-albums go, I'll know better after some 20 more listens or so.

Cool. I'll check it out when I get home, even though I've been disappointed with his last couple of albums.

Agreed. It wins over "With Teeth" and "Year Zero" in my opinion. If I had to compare, I'd say this is the logical continuation to "The Fragile". I might be alone on that, but it's my opinion. Both aforementioned albums are good, but this is something else.

Btw, was totally blown away by the high to low bass frequency thing in "Corona Radiata", after which I went back and listened to it again after boosting the woofer. Result: My windows vibrated nicely.

The soundscape is pretty amazing.
