nope.  thats all u can build.  lol j/k.  build a strategy center.  then you can build all that greyed out stuff on the build bar.

Yea ive built EVERYthing in that bar all 12 items. There should be more than that!

That was the Detention Centre, only in Plain Generals. In Zh the ability to remove the FoW was replaced at the Strategy Centre IIRC.

Run Zero Hour if you want more variety in Generals. You can also capture friendly and enemy buildings to access their production capabilities.

I used to enjoy Generals. Of course it didn't hold a candle to Total Annihilation, but it was quite fun all the same.


Recently I played through Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. Try playing Generals after that. You'll see it for the utter garbage that it is.

Why cant someone just make another Zero Hour like RTS, where you have Works/dozers building whereever you want...

Same here. Gens was the first CnC game I played, I liked it allot so I got all the other CnC games. Gens is not a CnC game, CnC games have Construction Yards as builder units are lame, Sidebars with build queues in them because having to move back to base to build more units distrupts gameplay allot, pay-as-you-go units and structures because having to wait to make a single down payment on your stuff takes to long and means that if you are even the slightest bit short of resources you can't build the unit you need.

Most importantly though Generals had too much of a focus on Super-Weapons, support powers and base defenses, so using actually Units was rather ineffeicient for all but the best players.

Whats the best up to date C&C game i should buy?

Lol.  How about 50 Nuclear Missles?  Did that before but it required A LOT of power but it was really fun destroying most of the map with 'em.  The only problem I had was that the Nuke seemed underpowered compared to the GLA super, scud storm I think.
