I'm getting him next week once he's had his injections.

We're calling him Buddy.
When I first saw him, I said "Hello Buddy" and went mental wagging his whole body.

He walks to heel and sits when you tell him.

He's in a rescue centre, picked up as a stray.

For those who think he's gonna rip my face off, I'll post pics if he does

I know about these dogs.
They need a lot of attention, training and exercise, with a defined place and role in a pack.
They need to be in the house with their family, not outside, segregated.

Any dog can attack, you just hear about one's with a bad reputation.

Ohhhh please... Generalise FTW!!!

Seriously there is nothing 'wrong' with any breed of dog, it comes down to lifestyle and training.

Nice pics Rubix, lovely dog

Well he was claimed today.
I went to take him for a walk, and they told me the owner had been and collected him.

Apparently he's been working away, so it took him two weeks to get there

It's a strange feeling being happy and disappointed at the same time.
I'm happy for the dog, but still, I'm feeling a bit down right now.

Ah man, I'm sorry...it's good that he has a good home now, but I can understand what you mean by being disappointed.

You can always adopt another.

It's not that Rottweilers have a reputation for being violent. They're extremely good family pets if they're treated as such. It's just that when they do get violent, they're ferocious, unstoppable beasts of death.
