Didn't Einstein theorize that time slowed down if you are travelling fast enough? (Near light-speed fast)

Interesting vid though.

That only proves that your own concept of time can slow down or speed up. This is cool though, one step forward in process of understanding how the brain processes information and the concept of time.

This was on Human Body: Pushing the limits on the discovery channel. It was VERY interesting. When your in danger it allows you think quicker and react faster.

YAWN.

So we perceive time to run at different speeds under different circumstances.

Anyone that's ever waited for a bus could tell you that.

Oh, and,

Actually, you don't even have to be travelling fast. You just need to move.

Get up and walk across the room.

You just travelled through time. Time for you, from an external observers point of view, will have appeared to have slowed. Though, from your point of view, it stays the same rate and speeds up for everyone else.

Then why does it work the wrong way? If you are waiting anxtiously for something to happen time appears to slow down badly, and when you are enjoying yourself, hours juts fly by.

That's just the way it works - the more stimulation there is, the quicker time appears to go, and visa versa

If you have an atomic clock based in Boston, and another on a plane and then fly to London, when it arrives that clocks will be different. (I didn't read anything in this thread or check the link, so yeah, I am probably not talking about what this topic is about.)
