Move your mouse of the pic, go really close to the screen and stare at the dot for exactly 10 seconds, Bring the mouse onto the pic while still staring. It will now be fully colour until you look away from the dot or the pic.

Worked for me. Infact it worked so well I thought it was a prank, because I wasn't expecting the image to pop up like that in full colour if you get me. So I thought I was just made a fool out of looking at a dot for 30 seconds. Then I moved my eyes and was like "hang on, it's actually a black and white image"

I did that. I did it for 30 seconds though, like the site said.

EDIT: Got it to work, my eyes hurt now though.

It is, when you move your mouse over what is actually a black and white picture appears in colour. It's tricking your brain/eyes by using colours that were being recognised before, and even then, the previous image had an orange sky yet the sky was blue afterwards.

I think it's awesome how it's all like "look you're in colour!" and then I shift my eyes slightly and it de-saturates into black and white.

yeah, it looks pretty crazy when you move your eyes and it goes back to black and white.

If you have a bright enough image you can see it by just looking at a blank surface. We did one in school when I was a kid that I think was a negative of an American flag. You would stare at it for like a minute then look at the wall and you would see a flag in normal colors.

Stare at the cross in the middle for 15 seconds.

Then blink quite fast at a wall.

LOL I had JS disabled (noscript ftw) and found out it didn't worked at all.

Let me try again now that the picture actually changes when the mouse moves over it.

edit: works, pretty nice actually!

Old as the internet itself.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
