If you get banned from a server, is there a way to get un-banned by changing something in one of your COD files?
I think it bans you by your GUID or CD-key not sure.

i got banned from CGO, its not that hard, just reference satan, works like a charm. never did get the killing for god thing, even if it is a game. sounds muslim.

I don't think you are actually killing anyone. It is more like data of 0s and 1s traveling at bullet speed towards some point, registering something that is also consisted of 0s and 1s. Ugh me and a clan mate were trying to figure this out earlier today actually. So far we came up with nothing but he's looking at the PB tool that lets you play with the same IP address on the same server, and maybe using that to let him get around it (we get banned from clan servers for using the Grenade Launcher for great justice)...

I never said anything to imply that he was an idiot, I just couldn't be bothered to explain how to manually change your IP address... not quite sure how you interpreted my post in the former sense.
And, last time I checked the PB ban only checks the serial-code of your hard-drive and/or the details of the NAT card. You can manually change the serial of your hard-drive in many ways (even putting it in a different set-up such as a RAID config will do this), and well... NAT cards... $20?

They won't ban you unless you do something really dumb though, and in that case, you deserve it.
Its not PB. It was from the server admin. Or does that work through PB?

If it was only the admin and not PB, it will be written to the ban.txt file on the server. The GUID is stored there. Unless you get a new GUID, you will not be allowed to join that server again til the admin goes and removes the GUID from that file manually. I know I can't remove it with RCON, only FTP with the server. IP change does nothing.
