Wrong. Stopping power increases power by only 40%. Do your research.

if i used a P90 with stopping power then most rounds would miss... especially running - now with double tap + running means more of my 50 bullets hit the guy...

plus it sounds wicked sweet

The OP is so completely wrong its not even funny... wow

Eavesdrop is UNDENIABLY the most USELESS perk -- anyone who says otherwise has no clue what the hell they're even talking about.

Doubletap is fucking awesome.  Great at close quarters.  GREAT IN MATCHES WHERE KILLING PEOPLE QUICK IS MOST IMPORTANT.

if you think about it one shot to the head is a one shot kill with either perk. so double tap is good for good aimers while stopping power is used for the more long range shooting, depends on the task does same damage but is suited for different situations.

I assume you never play organized games where knowing what the enemy is up to is invaluable?

Sorry, but I have to say the same thing to you about "You don't know what the hell you're talking about, tbh."

On Xbox or any other console, you use the in-game voice to chat amongst the teammates, and the use of eavesdrop is viable in this case.

HOWEVER, on PC, when it comes to ORGANIZED match situation, everyone use ventrilo or teamspeak. In-game voice is only used in public servers and it is hardly ever used anyway.

Okay I'm going to put that in OP, it sums it up perfectly.

And how much does the double tap increase the speed of fire?

I do believe double tap is 50% increase in RoF.

I do, however, prefer to use stopping power with most guns, since I am quite confident with my shots, anyway.

In long
Let's say double tap doubles the speed of firing (which I think it does, not sure).
Let's also say that stopping power doubles the power of your bullets (which I think it does, not sure).

This makes double tap stupidly.... stupid.

Think about it logically, in a close quarters situation, you want to get as much damage on the target as possible.

Now assume the gun is pointing directly at the target, a meter away (in other words, not one chance of missing, even with one bullet.)

Now assume it will take four bullets to kill the target.

If you fire two with stopping power, the target will die, and say it takes half a second.

If you fire four with double tap, the target will die, and it will also take half a second.

Fair enough. Although you are now 2 bullets more down with double tap than with stopping power.

Therefore I determine that stopping power is, infact, more useful than double tap, as you save more ammo. Also you have to hit the target with half as many bullets.

Prove me wrong.
not all bullets hit the target directly you noob.

Hypothetically is bullshit because it just doesn't happen.
Would be the same as saying that Iron lungs is useless because, hypothetically, you can shoot someone right away and not need the extra holding-breath time.
In the same vein, Stopping power is useless because, hypothetically, you can shoot every enemy in the head anyway. etc. etc.

Does double tap actually help shotguns?
Actually Double Tap on the pump action shotgun (the one that you have to cock after every shot) actually speeds up the process of cocking the weapon. Yes you can get more shells into them more quickly.
Sleight of Hand on the M1014 is still better than the W1200 with Double Tap. You can load and fire them almost as fast as firing them with a Double Tapped W1200.
Negative.

I find having 7 shells, with more damage and a fairly good fire rate (using DT), far more useful than 4 shells, with less damage. Unless you're practically touching the enemy, you're going to have to use 2 shells to take him down. 1 shell does the job for the pump action.

Nope, double tap is 100% increase in rof, hence the "double"
