Vertigo/Dizzy spells - anyone ever have it?

I'm suffering from a bad case of Vertigo right now. It's almost as if when I turn my head, my eyes reach the spot before my brain does...and I'm seeing the world around me move when it's not.

If anyone's ever had either Vertigo or dizzy spells, any remedies or things you do to treat it would really, REALLY help.

Tried all 3. I took my contacts out and left them out until noon, and I usually put them in right after I wake up (I stayed home today...it's getting really bad). Painkiller hardly worked.
