I advise getting her some clothes. Maybe a nice scarf or something. Something physical that she can keep.

Well your gift depends on many factors man... If you havent been together long and you don't want to drop a ton of cash I would suggest some personalized M & M candies. Chicks think its cute, trust me.
If you have been together for about a year or two you might consider some decent jewelery or something. Just vist the local jewelery store, believe me they are more than ready to hook you up. Hell, you could even finance the gift through them usually.
Of course, you should certainly include flowers of some type, they dont have to be roses, try to find out what her favorites are. You may have to visit a florist. Balloons are also good, I would suggest two to three balloons as well.
