People related the destruction of the statue of liberty and not knowing what the movie was about. Can't blame them. You know Iran is going to nuke us any second.

Cloverfield only has to do with one thing: SHIT.  Complete, utter shit...

That has to be the worst movie I've ever seen.

It seems to me that the Cloverfield monster is more like godzilla not a bunch of airplanes that crash into a building (9/11)..

3. Correct me if im wrong, but the twin towers aren't in the movie nor are they even mentioned.
4. So now no movie in the future can ever depict manhatten being destroyed by anything because of 9/11?

At the moment i feel like slapping anyone who's willing to stretch the reality of the situation to that extreme.

I just came from seeing it, I won't be buying it when it comes out on DVD. I can say with all fairness though there were 1 or 2 scenes that brought back memories of 911. Like when the dust cloud bellows down the street past the store front.

Theres a part in the movie where some large sky scraper gets knocked down, and smoke and debris billows down the street like it did when the twin towers fell..

The movie has nothing to do with 911 really, just some of the images that are portrayed look like that of the events of 911

I would have to agree.  The whole thing seemed like lazy filmmaking to me.

I just came home from having seen it. It's funny when you're sitting in a cinema that's right were the monster would have passed by...

I liked the movie, but I would have wanted it to be a bit longer and not so much shaky handycam.

But all I keep thinking about when I see these kinds of movies is what would I do? I think the best thing is to be in the military.. that way you got a gun, a lot of back and you can give the fucking monster it deserves (and probably safer than most civilians). It doesnt feel right just running away, I wanna fight the bastard. Although that's easy for me to say sitting at home in front of my laptop. If I would have been at that party I'd probably would just have fucking gotten the hell out of there as fast as I could...
