I thought about starting a new thread, but I feel this issues fit here as well, so this op has been updated with orange text.
I've noticed some of the bf2s' newer members (as well as some of the older ones) find their way in here and think they would like to contribute only to be shot down. Earlier a thread appeared where a member offered to makes sigs for people. Within minutes his abilities were mocked and he was flamed because his talents were not "to par" with some other members who hang around this section. I would link the thread but the user has deleted it, and with just cause. If someone else wants to make sigs, don't stop them! The "official" thread is practically dead and requests there are hardly fulfilled. I can hardly keep up with my own, I'd love it if there were more willing sig makers.
Regulars around here need to be more polite and less egotistical. If someone new wants to show off their work (no matter the level of quality) let them!Give helpful and constructive advice if you think it's not that good or could use improving, don't flame them!
Same goes for the sotw contests. The idea of the sotw was so users could practice with the programs and try new things. Too many people get bent out of shape if they don't enter in time, or if their sig doesn't win.
Here are some simple guidelines all users should benefit from following:Be helpfulDon't criticize other's "works," be constructive.Be modest. If you're good people will be able to tell.Don't ask people to do your homework!!Read the stickies! Odds are the answer to your question is there.
I know the members here can be very helpful at times, lets try and keep it that way all the time.

- Do not steal other people's work! This applies to everything, even sotw and wotm.
