Idea For Chinese City Map (Picture)

Yeah, I just read the thread saying that there will be no more patches, but I still wanted to post this.

My idea would be an amphibious assault in Hong Kong Bay. The carrier would get maybe 2-3 black hawks and a cobra, no planes and there would be RIBs and LAVs on the US's island. It would be kinda like Jalalabad with he wide open outskirts fighting that moves into the city. What do you guys think?

cool idea.
How would you do the highrises? A lot of buildings like TV stations where you could get to the roof or tall buildings but you could only get into the first story.

I was thinking it would be kinda like the tv station or maybe some new buildings. Maybe a maze of ladders on he ouside to avoid clay spam.

Dont forget the hawks either

Yeah, I have an idea. You know how on Iron Gator, certain things have been edited, like the MECSF assault class not having GP-30s? Perhaps you could make it so that snipers didn't have claymores on this map. Then, place the flag on a rooftop of the highrise. This way, you could do rooftop insertions using the Blackhawks (which is actually a tactic originally described for the hotel on Oman).

Mmm...my country vs. my homeland. Ah, the concepts.

I think the better question is why not. It just shows he's better than the rest of his clan. Innat right, Eagle?

EDIT: On topic, don't forget that there should be ladders/stairs leading up to the roof for the "highrise" flag.
Also, make the streets tiny and cramped, like the real Hong Kong. This way, the tanks and other armor would have to stay on main (i.e. wide) thoroughfares in order to avoid C4 traps, while at the same time providing a place for infantry to take cover from vehicle fire.

Of course I'm beter than the rest of my clan, duh! (good thing none of them read these forums )

And yeah, I like the small allyway idea. I really want this map to be like Urban Seige from desert combat. It was extremley versitiale. There ere large streets for tanks, but winding allyways for infantry where the tanks couldnt reach. There were plenty of landin zones for black hawk crews and large buildings to die in. anyone who has played the map can tell you it is amazing. If they did something like this with china and BF2 i'd be very happy.

This highrise is in the middle of the city and has a full interior. My clan and I used to fly a blackhawk onto the roof and fight our way down the stairs to the falg at the base. Imagine something like that in BF2... it'd be amazing.

Nice idea, but instead of bitching about all of the claymores, why not just use the engineer kit as it was meant to be. They give you a wrench for a reason. I admit that I enjoy using the clays, and I also enjoy disarming them to sneek up on a sniper to deliver a knife to their back. It's time to quit the clay bitching, and use some intelligence and utilization of the kits supplied. Other than that, it looks like a kick ass idea. Perhaps a 4-5 story embassy building in the city center would be cool. MG placements, stinger or two on the roof, and a breachable wall around it? Make it a last stand uncap for the Chinese.
