Can someone help?
252=5x+2y
How do you solve for x and y?
Thanks

Ah well I wasn't sure if he was going into decimals... damn math teachers can never make up their minds. "You need exact answers" "NO, leave it simplified"
GAH!

yes same for xAndoura wrote:
Y=
252 = 5x + 2y
252 - 5x = 2y
252/2 - 5x/2 = 2y/2
126 - 2.5x = y
Y = 126 - 2.5x
And same for X, no ???? and i can be wrong
Look, for these equations you first choose the easier one, in this case y = 126 - 5x:-=]NS[=-Eagle wrote:
I'm a little rusty, but i think it goes:
For y:
252=5x+2y
/2 /2
126=5x+y
-5x -5x
126-5x=y
For x:
252=5x+2y
-2y -2y
252-2y=5x
/5 /5
(252-2y)/5=x
Screw calculus........power9787 wrote:
this easy wait until you get to multivariable calculus and differential equation, this is what u learn in college, but since i am special i get to learn it in my high school years
show you examples problem : integral( sec y tan x dx dy) and y'' + y = tan x y''= second derivative of y
