Video suggests subduction and the sliding of tectonic plates isn't really what's happening.

Someone find a link that compares the measurement of the earth when the dinosaurs roamed the earth to its current diameter.  Oh wait, there isn't one.  Interesting theory.  Rather hard to prove.

This is silly.  Take a geology 101 class.  It's twisting facts and making up some more.  In the continental spreading part, watch India.  We know through various ways(take the 101 class) that India was once part of Africa and then split and floated into Asia and crashed into it, creating the Himalayas.

I love how "150 million years ago" they show all the continents fitting together perfectly and there is NO water anywhere!

HOLY CRAP! I've just been typing and watching.  It compares Earth to Mars and that all planets "MUST!!!!!!" be the same in continental forming.  Wow how dumb.  I mean, wow.

Just ignore this video.  They should have just ended this with "And please, read your Bible folks!"

Expanding Earth Theory is as credible as Intelligent Design.

The Earth has not gotten bigger despite sea-floor spreading, because of subduction.  To simply say subduction does not occur on a widespread basis is baffling to me.

The Earth's core is magma, right? The sun expands and contracts, right? I say it's possible, but then again, I didn''t wtfv...

Yea this is pretty much bullshit.  Maybe that's why it's on a site called "Maniac World".  If the earth shrank, where did all the water come from.  There'd be a thick layer of water on the early Earth if this actually occurred.  And how did the Earth expand?  Law of Conservation of Mass says things take more things to get bigger.  The video couldn't name one person who supported it, just generalized groups such as "conservative scientists".  I didn't see a reason for why the Himalayas formed, or why they are still getting larger.  In fact, I didn't see anything factual in that video other than the modern day maps of Earth.

Anyone realize that there's alot of stuff that the earth catches in its gravitational field?

Think of the earth like your car.  As you drive it you hit bugs, get dirt on your rims, gather dust and dirt til you wash your car each weekend.

Well with the earth there is no washing, its just keeps piling on all this debris over millions of years - how do you think our oceans were formed, (some scientists believe its from comets filled with water).

Comets are water (and rock), just frozen.  Although we do get a few extra grains of sand every year due to small meteors and comets, it's not nearly enough to make a difference on a planetary scale.

Bias, because it does not say what you want.  If this had anything to do with the same people who believe in Intelligent Design, then why would he talk about evolution.

This is a theory, just like other theories in the Science world.  If you try to shoot down every theory without really taking a deeper look into it.  If we killed every theory there was, then we mine as well go back to the Middle Ages, where Galileo was punished by the church.  You are just as bad as the church trying to stop Galileo, or creationist who try to stop the spread of evolution.  The idea that if it does not fit into my idea of thinking then it does not belong there.

Actaully Earth was smaller at one time. A collision with a passing planet caused the earth to gain size and the creation of our moon.

A larger earth would decrease density, and reduce surface gravity by increasing the distance to the core, so why aren't I getting lighter?

If earth was half its current radius, it would be incredibly dense, and gravity would be crushingly strong.

I quit watching half way through.  The absurdity of the facts are astounding.
He was talking about how fish fossils found in Mississippi and France are proof.  Proof of what?  France and Mississippi were partially part the of the sea long ago.

Or larger.  That theory could work with a chunk of Earth shearing off.
