Rather than politics, religion and war, I decided to create a poll about a less-important, yet subconsciously-impacting topic: organization. Topics can range from computer files to wood piles to socks. About anything you can think of. All seems to fall under work ethic and how one's thought process is structured.

Poll by scale and time spent at it.

Depends on what it is. My room is like someone upturned all the drawers/storage boxes, but I know where the important things are.

School files, on the other hand, are categorised by Subject > Term > Summative/Formative > Appropriately named folder > schoolworkdocument1.doc

He..............I have school work all over the place.  Every now and then whilst trying to hunt something down, I'll come across work from 4 or 5 years ago.  Just today I was reading a debate speech from a while ago that I stumbled across...........good times......................

i usually have a compulsion to have a huge clean out in my room every 4 or 5 months so i never have old stuff lying around. its mostly just clothes and dvd cases that make up the clutter. i'm reasonably organised i just don't actually do my work lol.

I was a neat freak until I got married, then I gave up. Since the kids have arrived it seems she couldn't care less what the place looks like for the most part.

I am organised to the point of compulsion.  You should see the files on my computer, all perfectly labeled with appropriate capital letters etc.  I simply can't bare to be disorganised.

Maybe I'm just a complete psycho.

Nothing wrong with being organised - i'm well organised but I have the time keeping of an irish man for sure - i over come the problem by not wearing a watch and, never being in a rush, that way it's always the right time..

Woman just started work fulltime for me today in fact, who's sole purpose to organise my ass, my office and everyone in it................but mainly me. She is the same age as my mum, so I am not distracted even more by some fit young thing bending over the filing cabinets. I tried PDA, Diary, alerts, part time kick my ass woman, all with no help to me. In the end I had to hire someone fulltime.
So yes I am totally disorganised.

Thats another thing, I am ALWAYS on time.  And trust me this rarely works to my advantage.

Say for example I am meeting my mates at the pub at 7pm, just to be sure I will arrive at 6:50pm, but because my mates are the worst time keepers in the world they arrive at 7:15pm.  Why oh why don't I just learn from my constant mistakes, and turn up late.  That way I wont be billy no mates for 25 minutes!!!

Highlyorganised, some time spent. Everything has a place, and it stays there until needed. Never mind that my clothing inhabitsa pile just off the floor, my wargaming gear is stacked in a pile in a corner, important pieces of paper are stacked feet deep in a box, and my collection of alternative gear sits on the coffee table.
Looks a mess, but isn't.

Well I do absolutely nothing for months on end and when things gets to the point where it's just annoying to do anything in/with the room/thing in question then I'll clean it up 'perfectly'... and then the cycle continues for the next couple of months.

I would say not OCD, but close. Everything I care about has a very specific place and is always there. My computer is very organized.
