I am aware it is an article from July of last year. But I have not heard more about this. We have another fight on our hands here? Not sure Argentina could defeat the British anyway.

I got home from work and there was some old Falkland footage on one of those discovery/military/whatever channels. Digital cable...can't keep track of them.

Since the last Falklands war the island has prospered economically. And considering 70% if the population consider themselves British I don't see why the Argies would want to pick a fight over this again.

Its true that it is not as tactically important as it used to be, however that's not the point here. Politics aside, the island should be kept British, because it is in the islanders own interest.

If it means another conflict then so be it.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

Argentina would sadly lose again. It's not a territory where guerrilla war tactics would be fully effective and the British have much more sophisticated weaponry. I say sadly because I don't believe it should be under British rule, I think the days of empires owning land half the world away belong in the past. It's just off the coast of Argentina for God's sake, how could Britain claim any natural right to the land?

Ask any islander that and they'll gladly tell you. Same goes for Gibraltar. Oh, and even if the Falklands was made up of a jungle, guerilla warfare wouldn't work. Why? There's no one to be guerillas!

Lets think about this for a second, they could be members of one of the richest countries in the world... or they could belong to a poor country. Not too hard a decision for them.

Im not questioning the loyalty of the Falklands residents. They are not considered as British Citizens as Killswitch implied.

I'm sure they sing God Save the Queen and root for the Brits at the Olympics, still doesn't make you British.
