i would vote for warren harding, but... my personal opinions would force me to vote for:

LBJ... horrible godawful social programs and fabricating the gulf of tonkin incident to kick off the vietnam war.  the man should have never been there.

Andrew Johnson was an asshole like no other.  He somehow managed to be a traitor, racist, and a carpetbagger all in one.  Satan would be proud.

How do you KNOW that he's an idiot?

One example out of a seemingly endless reservoir of examples (if i acted like this I'd expect to be thought of as an idiot)

I think I'd probably get on okay with George on a human one to one level if I did meet him, he does seem like a personable guy and has a comical self awareness of his own amusing mishaps. I seen him in a documentary following him prior to his election and he actually seemed like a funny guy. It's his foreign policies that I dislike.

Okay, that was a deliberately provocative phrasing on my behalf for shits and giggles ...guilty as charged! I should have kept it either entirely serious or entirely humourous given the inflamatory nature of the discussion.

But hey guys look at the poll results, I'm evidently not the only one who dislikes him!

See, now I've always been of the opinion that George Bush is not an idiot, and I'll tell you why I feel that way.

Granted, he is a flaming train wreck of a public speaker. Personally, if you can't pronounce "nuclear" properly, that shoud be automatic disqualification for public office. Hilarious verbal gaffes aside, he is not a stupid man but a willfully ignorant one. He has the capacity to learn, he just arrogantly refuses to do so. Typical old-money aristocracy type who believes that he all ready knows all their is to know of the world and we unwashed peasants have nothing of value to offer him. All he needs is his God and his big-money friends to tell him what to do, the rest of us can screw off as far as he's concerned as long as we vote for him, fight in his wars or work for his corporate buddies.

FDR and the Raw Deal FTW.  He sold the poor on a Tax that effects them many, many times more than it ever could the well off.  Now we are all a slave to his socialism security system.

FDR may you burn in hell forever.

Yep, because Hoover's natural selection option was working beautifully.  He really knew how to help us with population control and shantytowns.

We've had some good presidents...

True, we've had some less than perfect and horrible presidents, but name me a country that hasn't had a crappy/horrible ruler ever.

Edit: Oh, alright.

Right so if another catastrophe like the Depression happens to occur again, I suppose it'd be better off without his reforms? FDIC for one. Also overlooking the fact that he is/was one of the more popular presidents.

Or if you were injured on the job or off the job and was unable to work. Gee, without his "socialist security system," you'd be out of luck wouldn't you?

I don't totally agree with welfare, but it's still a good program for those who are unable to work, rather than those who don't want to work.

Like a few people have said before, the sheer number of people who have voted Bush shows that people are either blinded by hatred of Bush or only know a couple of presidents.

Agreed.  Bush is bad, but not the worst (sadly enough).

What's the point in having a poll if you're just going to dismiss the result on the grounds of your own personal opinions about why the people may have voted in such a way?

Bush, no contest. USA has had a lot of dumb wits running the place, but none of them were stupid enough to start a war over fucking oil, rig the elections twice and expect the world to believe the cover stories... Bush takes the grand prize!

He was calling people out. It is common knowledge that Americans don't exactly know their history like the back of their hand, and vote based purely on opinion. If you don't know any of the other names, you'll probably choose the ones you're most familiar with. Flame not intended, but:

The polls make me LMFAO, Clinton and Bush in first, figures, the last two presidents, shows how much people know about past, but of ill informed 12 year olds.

Worst president? Carter, the guy did nothing but appease appease and appease, was like how Chamberlain treated Hitler.

Wikipedia has everything--here is their rankings for the worst presidents:

I found it searching for the C-Span rankings as well.
