Britain was simply more successful and can pull out sooner, partly due to the fact it's a quieter area than the US is dealing with and partly due to the fact British forces are a lot less aggressive in their tactics and are actually already re-building a lot of the parts they're working in which has done no end of good for relations with the locals, hardly a huge political gesture, it's just that there's no point keeping them there anymore.

I find it interesting that Senator Barbara Boxer, California recently led a panel discussing how many Congressmen had family serving in Iraq, the point of which was anti-war opposition in a country which is actively pursuing war in Iraq...while the UK sends a Prince Harry into a combat zone from a country which is reluctantly involved....while Price shows his "Harry" at the Superbowl Halftime show...weird huh?

BTW Sen Boxer is a douchbag - she's passionate about her points, but it's personal to her and presents her case like a personal attack which ruins her credibility in my book. So much so that I see her and people like her as a problem with our current legislative system.
