actually, i have had connection problems while playing bf2142 vs. bf2. there's a little work you may need to do to get it to work correctly, search around the forums a bit and you'll find the solution.

Check to see if your internet configurations are working for you--meaning, experiment around a little. It's possibly a firewall problem. Or, check the game network setting (Cable, and DSL, something like that) and use the most appropriate one.
Changing the network settings for the game lets me stay in it longer, still disconnects me every round though.Magius5.0 wrote:

Try running a diagnostic on your net line, i had some problems with the way my line was cabled, that kept cutting the inter-juice every 5 mins.

Try uninstalling it then reinstalling and see what happens. You shouldnt disconnect every round. Most disconnects I have are due to a server crashing and restarting. Every once in a blue moon ill have a connection problem. Other then that I dont know what to say. Look on EA's site to see if anything there can help you.

I'd get disconnects once in awhile, but none since I turned off EAX. There's a fix that solves the EAX issue, but I'm too lazy to go looking for it right now.

I do. I have similar problems and the same situation re: BF2. I can play BF2 with no connection issues, but get frequent timeouts/disconnects with 2142.[RaWr]-Impsux wrote:

It's not EAs fault, man. I feel for you, but it has to be hardware or ISP related because the game works fine on my end. I'm not a tech guru or I'd post more ideas.
the overall problem is on the client side i agree but if it is a common issue which it is i have heard this prob from clan mates as well
