Hey Folks,

[R-DEV]dbzao has put together a couple of videos covering some of the new features in Project Reality v0.5.

If the limited kit thing is to reduce the amount of whores, and distribute the planes/tanks/helos more fairly, isn't the ability to spawn that kit at the vehicle noble effort, but a waste of time, as they can pick it up immediately and hop right in. Maybe make Crewman and Pilot only available at flags, but other more Infantry related kits available at the vehicles.

Also, the Abrams has another hatch right here

Make that an entrance, as hopping ontop of the turret may be pretty inconvenient.

Oh and on the helicopter start up, is it possible to have the torque meter on the left (the %) go up according to the rate of the helicopter powering up? I don't remember the figure, but say that at 70% the helicopter will lift off, so once you hop in, it starts climbing up, as opposed to the jump it takes once your airborne.

Exactly.Heavy AT is intended for Armour, not infantry. Also, the guns are much deadlier than in BF2.
Any chance of getting firefight vids?

Wow ... I loved those ideas ... being able to request new kits was something that was always lacking in BF2. And, the rally points is another good thing.

Reality? Meh ... I could care less about things such as entry points on vehicles or 20 sec reloads on AT (both are actually annoying), but I do care about improvements to game play.

Also when revived you are on about 20% health. Guns are much more accurate m4 owns and in all the mod kicks bf2's ass anyday

Not everyone is supposed to like this mod, but the Mod Team does what it can to make the game more enjoyable for those who play it. This is a good mod, you should play if before you pass judgment on it.

I think by what he meant was that you shouldn't be finding yourself alone with the AT Kit fighting a tank/apc in the first place. If you were a team oriented player, you would find support among your squad during those 20 sec of vulnerability.

Edit : And yes, I'd say that the 20 secs reload time is somewhat realistic. I'd like to see rearm their AT weapon in real life under fire from a tank in 20 sec. I don't know if it's possible, but from my point of view, I think it is unlikely.

Great mod by the way. Really fun.

The Dev team have said a few times that the M4 is a bug, and that some one messed up on the recoil values for it, in the next few days it wont be what it is now....but is there honestly a gun that isn't good in that game? all of them kill in a few shots...

the more and more they update it the more and more less appealing it gets. imo, if i wanted realism i would have gone into service. ill stick to the bouncy bunny rabbit VIDEO game
