It's a lesson that Wendel has fully absorbed. At the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, he strutted onto a stage and faced all comers in the first-person shooter Quake 4. The first challenger lost, 23 to 0. Another scored -3. None of the 20-odd opponents scored a point. Afterward, Wendel talked up a new deal he had signed for the Championship Gaming Series. Instead of playing, Wendel will be announcing for DirecTV's new series. "I'm going to be the John Madden of gaming," says Wendel/Fatal1ty. That's when he's not being the Michael Jordan of gaming.

I dunno what the big deal is about this guy anyway... I doubt he's good at any games other then Quake or whatever it is he's playing.

No. I don't buy into this cult of celebrity thing. I wouldn't buy anything branded with Beckam because his name was on it, why would I do so for this quake guy?
Hell, I only sport band name merchandise because I support the bands, and branded shirts because they were amusing at the time. (Since 'as a matter of fact the world does revolve around me' fits my personality and attitude enough to warrant buying it. And because if anyone says 'the world doesen't revolve around you', I can respond with 'my shirt says it does.'.). And because black shirts with white writing on them attract enough attention to stop people ignoring me in a crowd.

And I'm a UT man myself. Never did like quake.

The X-Fi Xtreme Music (the cheap one) owns. All the other versions are a waste of money.

Oooohhh, look at me, I've got some RAM on my sound card, I don't care that it doesn't impact performance one Iota and the extra money would be much better spent on something performance enhancing.

ehhem, he is the world champion of 5 games and is the number 1 ranking gamer in the world, so i actually think that you need to research a bit before bursting out with your thoughts on a subject that you clearly have no understanding of, sorry to be a bit rude, but hey the world is cruel.
