. . . he's stripping the central bank of its autonomy, eliminating presidential term limits and forming a single party from those who support him.

Are you advocating the assassination of an elected head-of-state?  Very enlightened mindset.

Just about any caliber will do nicely.

EDIT: I am advocating the assignation of the "elected" President. He is changing the game for the citizens of Venezuela, after his "election." Ironically, I didn't  think it was an enlightened mindset.

There are so many people, it really surprises me that nobody kills these presidents/leaders.. especially in the US of A, how hard is it to acquire a rifle? not very hard. So many millions of people, and only one of them needs to take care of Bush.

Let him set up his social state.  When the people don't like it, they can revolt and have a civil war.  Why should we give a damn what he does.

Bush isn't trying to become a dictator.  He may not be the best supporter of civil liberties and what not, but so far he has not made any power hungry vows for permanent power. That's why no one's gonna assassinate him.

On the topic of Chavez, I think we should just do one simple thing if he gets rid of his country's voting process...
Blockade his ports.  Then we tell him that if he doesn't hold elections along the original schedule we will take care of him.  If he doesn't, we take care of him.

But wait, he's got a large reserve of the US life force.  That's reason enough to advocate killing him.

George Bush was "elected" too, let's not forget there Teflon.

No, I commend the man for being able to lead the most powerful nation and take criticism like no other.  I do think he is one of the (if not #1) shittiest presidents of all time, and is trampling on the constitution to the detriment of the average US citizen.

Teflon Shadow was alluding to the fact that he (Chavez) was not elected democratically, when there is no substantial proof (in fact, international voting monitors approved the election).  I was simply alluding to the fact that our Supreme Court chose GWB the first time around, not the voters.

He is doing away with term limits, not doing away with elections.  It remains to be seen as to the ramifications, but please do not jump to conclusions.

Wow, forcing venezuela to choose a certain system of government when it clearly wants something else, way to respect their freedom... *rollseyes* Why not round up some knights and footsoldiers, and go spread christianity by the sword while you're at it?

On the one hand, there's good reason to assume that Chavez is a powerhungry nutjob.

On the other hand, if he actually fulfills his promises to the poor of his country, he'll be the first truly successful communist.  Given the wealth disparity in Venezuela, I can't say that I sympathize with the rich people there.

No, you see Ken, the key word in the second paragraph is "if".  Maybe you missed it.  This little two letter logic operator means that what I am saying is simply hypothetical observation of what MIGHT happen.  No where do I assume this event WILL happen, or that i think it will happen.  I didn't assume anything, you're assuming everything.  So, I will give your advice back to you... don't jump to conclusions.

Don't you love the technical distinction between assassination and murder? Politicians are so much better than us ordinary people.
