US Soldiers + Hummer + A lot of traffic = Bumper PWNG.

Positive:

I for fucking sure would do that in a country full of crazy people waiting to blow you up.

Negative:

This wouldn't make you my friend.

Is this type of behavior going to speed up rebellions against US troops? Does the lying danger of getting RPG'd allow this type of 'driving' ? Discuss!

Ive watched the video and see nothing wrong in the behavior of the Hummer driver, better to nudge a few cars than get stuck in traffic and take an RPG hit, oh be opened fire on by insurgents with AK, RPK's Etc....., think the civilian would get a bit more upset getting caught in a cross fire, than a few bumps to their bumper.

Not gonna make many friends with that behaviour.  I bet none of the Iraqi's saw the driver, sure as hell saw a hummer.....

try and listen to the background noise you can hear all the cars using the horn even though there isn't any cars blocking their path, hate people like that.

I cant blame him, its when they stop that they get hit from all sides with RPG's and machine gun fire.

He is also beeping his horn like crazy.

i like how a few of the drivers pull over right away, seems to be the sensible people that do that

they didnt hit them hard enough to do much if any damage, and it seemed they needed to get somewhere important (the guys in the hummer i mean) so sure , its not like they were running them off the road or anything

The reason the Hummer drive does that is because in the past cars have pulled in front of convoys to slow them down for an RPG attack as they are shit at hitting moving targets ....

It's very clever to go through a city in which you're in constant danger of getting shot, although there are so many civilians. I know, there might be times when you just have to but honestly - does anyone of you really think the ones getting bumped are saying "Yes, of course, they fear being hit so they'd rather hit my car!"? This may be a reason aswell for many of them to join terrorist groups. They see military cars bullying other traffic participants and get frustrated about this happening to them in their own country. Now this will cause misunderstandings over and over again, and with both forces not willing to negotiate - well, we know what's gonna happen, meanwhile.

i would kill them for doing it if i would be Iraq citizen.... Coz there is no reason to doing that just to insure your safety.. if you act nice so people would be more nicer and maybe it could stop some riots....

I don't think that we, who are from a generation of people that (in Europe and I assume everywhere else to a certain extent) rather dislike the idea of war, can neither fully understand what's going on in Iraqi's heads nor can we imagine being in a war. And I, personally, am not too sad about it.

It's actually the Hummer's horn, that signals them to get the fuck out of the way.
Ps. If I saw a HMVV coming at me at full speed, I would get the fuck out of their way.

If you act nice...well, let's just say RPG-7s don't know how to act nice.

persoanll, i thing the hummer driver is acting fine. he's sounding his horn, he's giving themtime to get out of the way, they arent', so he gives a gnetrle nudge to encorage them to move.remember they are at risk from RPGs, and whatever else the insurgents ahve.

It also looks - like "yeah whatever" normal behavior - the Iraq people in cars on the street - seem as if they are used to it - even when he is on the other side of the road driving straight into oncoming traffic.

It's kinda assholish behaviour, but tbh, I pretty much agree what's been said so far. If they stop, they get shot at so keeping moving and not getting stuck in a massive traffic jam seems like a pretty good idea.

I don't know - it doesn't look rude to me - like I said before - they seem to be used to it expect it even; & know what to do; to get out of the way; etc. Seems more like an example of tolerated-expected "behavior" this is just "how it is" and not really "rude" in anyway.

It looks like they understand the policy: if your bumped get out of the way - a hummer that does not want to be a RPG-target is coming your way.

*Uh, this is an agreement... not a disagreement... with your statement.

I Agree I would be driving the same way, did you hear the Driver once get mad of tell the slow fuckheads to get out of the way, no. He's on a mission, not going to the mall for some shopping for souvenirs.
I would also agree that is pisses off a few drivers, but looking at the video they all know the game over there by now, and all of the drivers moved over pretty quickly once they noticed the headlights on a US HUMVEE was where that sound of the weak honking was coming from. And yes its standard procedure to drive with your lights on, in any government vehicle, during the day.

Now this guy has some good common sense. What do the good citizens of Iraq want the most? Granted the US to leave, but right now they want security. They know this guy giving them a nudge, that did no physical damage, is providing that.

Yeah it seems like it's understood that if you see a Military vehicle coming down the road, I will quickly move out of the way, I'm sure a lot of these civilians have seen there fair share of IED's and explosions going on in their city's and their country. Knowing that HUMVEE is a target, I'm sure that they would rather pull over quickly , then get caught in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Do  you think that a war was started over a guy bumping another guy with his car (HUMVEE)? NO, seriously if an Iraqi is a insurgent, he has already made up his mind if he want to start killing Allied soldiers and Marines. Bumping his car, I think is very unlikely that would push someone over the edge. Not impossible I said, very unlikely.

You ever stop to think it's for the cars safety in front of them as well? Nobody wants to get stuck in the crosshairs.
