Thats true in some respects, but I can form a basic opinion off of personal experiences. For instance, I would need an incredible amount of nationalistic propaganda (brainwashing) before I would ever suit up and go kill anyone, especially the Iraqi war that's going on now. It's just not something you do. And it's not just in the Army bases. I mean... kids grow up wanting to be a marine because they're depicted as heroes in the media/Hollywood, and don't get me wrong I'm not saying that they aren't heroes if you want to look at it that way, but I look back on my childhood and I'm embarrassed to be honest. Sure I was a kid, but I wanted to be an air force pilot, not because I wanted to kill people but because planes are pretty freakin' cool. Eventually I grew up, I realized that killing people solves nothing -- I mean you learn that at an early age too (the whole violence is not the answer shpeal).
