Personally I feel MLK was a great man, unlike Jesse Jackson and some of the other racist/corrupt self proclaimed black leaders. While I disagree that he should have his own holiday, he does and acting like these morons does nothing but promote hate.

With this being said, I also feel that all the people that put the "gansta" rap artists on a pedestal and dress and act like that disrespect MLK just as much or more. MLK was a deeply religious man and would roll in his grave if he saw how violent and drug ridden many black neighborhoods have become, glamorizing it makes it worst so I guess I would rather see people make fun of it in an appropriate setting, not to celebrate MLK's life.

Honestly, and I'm not being a racist here, but the majority of black people love the "Gang" look and idolize it and those who do gang related activities or songs about it being 'cool', and most of us normal, decent people frown upon that... a lot, that kind of activity promotes crime and violence by trying to imitate them, I personally hate all that crap (rap, hip-hop, gangs, crime, etc.) and I intend to keep doing it, and its not EVERY African-American who does that, some of my AA friends say its stupid and it shouldn't be looked as black culture, however the more retarded want to keep it as their culture and heritage... they had and will still have it coming if they keep idolizing crime, gangs and illegal activities.

Yes, but the majority of rap and hip-hop songs idolize crime, gang activity, violence, greed and all that crap. I must say the OLD stuff is more mellow and non-gang or crime related, like the Will Smith songs, Miami for example, yeah thats Good rap, not at all like the new crap.

Look at all the non-black gangster related entertainment in the world. It's the same damn thing, but I don't see anyone saying the Sopranos should be banned.
