Thats not Cougars issue.  He's more or less seemed hostile to potheads  use of mother nature.

He's just got anger issues and a blowhorn in the form of a international forum. It was a good rant in classic Cougar style.

I'm with Cougar on this one, I'm not a fan of Bush.  Now please excuse me, I have to go to my Ultimate Frisbee Club later and then me and my college friends are going to try to score some pot (hard as hell to get here in Ireland).  Then we'll get high and talk about 9/11 conspiracy theories.  Oh, and in two years I will be registering to vote.  It seems only fair that if thousands of blindly loyal, southern, country ass, gun toting, "I served once so everyone else is a pansy", PSYCHOS get to vote, then so should an uniformed college know it all pot head.

All in all, I think we should keep this thread going, I see a lot of minds being changed here folks, really, I do.

you had better be damn sure that you don't do use any form of drugs, whether it be alcohol, cigarrettes, or anything else to avoid a big dose of hypocracy. i personally don't care for pot, but i do drink alcohol, and as far as i can tell, there is little difference other than the issue of what is currently legal. heavy alcohol users are not much different than heavy marijuana users.

At this point,  do you want to Debate and have a Serious Talk? I didn't think so. I knew I could count on someone  to start venting, a I hate President Bush post, based on his speech  last night, here at bf2s. Like I have said many times before, " The US Constitution gives you the Right to be complete moron." And yes many will die, voluntarily, with out asking for anything in return, other than knowing that this is the greatest country the world has ever know.

Now you guys are on some tangent about smoking pot and comparing it to drinking alcohol and having dependencies???? This Forum really has gone downhill. Get real people.

One thing you have to bear in mind is that the only reason Bush got re-elected is because days before the vote Osama Bin Laden threatened the American people saying if we do in fact re-elect him he will attack America again. And that right there is pretty much the only reason. The only reason people ( Americans )are bitching about Iraq is that we haven't had any attacks in America. I think we would be more solidified if there was another attack. And as far as Iraq goes I'd like to see any other country try to pull off the impossible. And the impossible is trying to unite 3 different ethnic people after 50 years of torture and hate. Then fight off an influx of Jihadists/extremists from 6-7 other different countries at the same time using guerrilla warfare.
If you ask me 3,000 KIA's in 4 years is pretty damn good. Look back at Russia vs the Muhajudeen in Chechnya. Russia lost 25,000 in one year, though those figures are sketchy, more like 55,000. Things could be much, much worse casualty wise.
Hilarious. Someone actually believes that, somehow, occupying Iraq is preventing terror attacks in the USA. That doesn't make much logical sense. If someone wanted to attack you on US soil they could do it with ease. 11 Iraqis were arrested crossing the Mexican border the other day or did you gloss over that story? The blindness of some people amazes me. The Iraq war is as much a 'war on terror' as it is a 'war on common sense'.
O M G don't you REALIZE that by taking the FIGHT to them we REDUCE the likely hood of an attack taking place at home! GOD!?!?!? I thought you would have seen by now that if we fight them -----> There <----- and not  --->here<---- we stop them from getting .....<---here?

Extreme ideological powers that the terrorist posses restrict their movements SINCE they are being attacked  ----->there<----

No attacks since 911 = FREEDOM

oh btw i enjoyed when the president listed off a handful of "prevented" terrorist attacks within the US, the list was well massive. Including the one alleged British national that wanted to blow up airliners while over the Atlantic.....you know the guy that was acquitted we stopped THEM!

FUCK YeAH! AMERICA FUCK YEAH!
Laughable. As far as we know, most of the attackers of 09/11 weren't even from Iraq. Organizations like Al'Quaeda operate worldwide, and don't care about nations or borders. The idea that you can "round them up" in Iraq so that they cannot strike elsewhere is just plain naive, if not borderline stupid.
There could even an argument be made that by invading Iraq, the US has actually created more terrorists, and not reduced their numbers.

I always hear people say that the current strategy is a success, because you have not been attacked again on your home soil. Well, guess what, that's equally naive.
By putting tens of thousands of troops on the ground in Iraq, you are actually making it easier for terrorists to kill Americans. The soldiers are Americans too, are they not ? Or are their lifes that much more expendable since they are soldiers ?
Over 3,000 US troops have died in Iraq since the war broke out. That's about the number of people killed on 09/11. 20,000 more have been wounded, 10,000 of whome will never return to action.
A success ?!? The terrorists must be laughing their butts off.
Sure, 09/11 was huge, but it also took months, if not years to prepare. Now, killing Americans has become a nearly effortless task for the terrorists, with so many of them running around in some ME shithole.
Again, 3,000 dead Americans. That is not a success.

You also said this:

Fen321 wrote:

Freedom ? Please...If you ask me, all the US government has done since 09/11 is infringe upon the rights and freedoms of Americans. Patriot Act ? Warrantless wiretapping and mail scanning ?

If you take those measures into account, today, you are actually less free than before 09/11.
And that is not because of the terrorists, it is because of your own government taking your rights away.

The successes in preventing further attacks inside the US that Bush mentioned were the result of better intelligence, improved work of the various law enforcement agencies, and enhanced co-operation on an international level. They had nothing to do with the War in Iraq.

09/11 could have been prevented with the very same things.
