Seriously, you got only Elvis and Johnny Cash, who contributed to their genres but were not creators of those genres, so the only ones with any real influence are Bob Marley and Lennon.
As a songwriter Lennon was fairly innovative, but does not dominate that area of music.
Bob Marley was extremely influential in his own admittedly narrow genre, but the influences were there before him.
Where's Robert Johnston? Where's the roots reggae artists like Jimmy Cliff and Millie Small?
What did we lose when Tupac died? Sid was a human tragedy, with the brain of a duck, one of the worst bass players ever, with no musical talent whatsoever (and that's from a big punk fan).

the worst death i said was Johnny cash but i believe Chris Ledoux was the saddest death he lived in my home state and was a great singer

Elvis' death killed all he started. Nothing like him has yet to erupt since his death. There are at least bad duplicates of the other ones.
i'll go lennon for his creativity and hendrix for his inovative guitar style.
but i also say in alot of cases the death of a musician is what makes the musician more influential than when they were alive. take stevie ray as an example, no one knew him when he was alive but almost every aspirering guitarist wants to play his stuff now that he is dead.
but that idea dosn't always work because now i think of chuck berry, another one everyone wants to play like but he is still alive i think. oh well

While Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon certainly were among the greatest innovators of the 20th century, the death of Elvis Presley would easily, by far, have to be the biggest loss to 20th century music. Perhaps our generation(s) cannot really understand his influence, but truly, he was the King. Whether you liked his music or not, his death ranks as the most important.
An honourable mention goes to Kurt Cobain. While I have never heard his work personally, I understand he did influence rock in the '90s.
