A message from Barack - Video

Discuss.
he'll get assassinated within 2 years...........
lol yeah by a white supremacists (kind of sad but true)
If it did happen, he'd be a martyr for the black community.  He would have already broken down a barrier in American society and would be seen as a hero by much of the black community.

As much as I'd like to say it won't happen, there's a very real possibility that it could.  However, if it did, Obama would do more in death than he ever could in life.

This is the projected democratic field. Of these candidates, only Edwards and Clark hold a snowball's chance in hell of carrting the South. You cannot be elected president in the US withouth winning at least half of the southern states.

Dodd and Richardson are still two new for me to pass real judgement.

But lets be honest here. Any ticket that has Hillary on it is going to be a poison pill for the dems. It doesn't matter if Hitler comes back to life and runs as a republican, he'll win over Hillary.

Unless the Dems can create a serious ticket backed by serious candidates (that don't include Hillary or Obama, no matter how much I may agree with him), they're out of the white house again this year. If the republican ticket is McCain/Guilani, Jesus could run for the Dems and he'd still lose.
I think Hiliary Clinton might have a chance, considering that she is well known or more known then some of the candidates after all people are not going to vote for someone they never heard of.
I think you're confusing Hillary winning the democratic nomination with Hillary winning the election. I have no doubt she could win the nomination. I pray every night that she doesn't, but she could.

She would be absolutely destroyed in the general election. The African-American community (outside of Harlem) does not support her. Unions see her as weak. Without the support of these two groups, the only folks left voting for her are liberals in the northeast and oregon. She'd get destroyed.

I personally have heard a sermon by a black minister condemning Hillary. The black community doesn't like her, no matter how much of [not-republican] she is.

Not to mention, if she's running against a ticket with Guilani, she not only won't carry her old home state (Arkansas, not a snowflake's chance in hell), she won't carry New York. New Yorkers LOVE Guilani.

And again, she can't win the south. She may be a good candidate on the issues, but she's shite in the electorate.
well, god forbid people voting on issues..

Kinda sad how democracy works these days...

I think Obama has a fair chance at the White House, but a lot will depend on his running mate. Tough choice.
I don't know who is in contention for rhe republican nomination, but McCain / Giuliani certainly look like a strong duo.

btw, Obama is the only possible candidate already receiving media exposure in germany. Parts of his video were all over the news here. I guess that's because of his personal background and because he is the frist black candidate with a slim chance of winning ever.

Can an American explain to me why Hillery is so despised? Seriously, I would like to know.
I know nothing about all of the up coming candidates.

She has some good ideas.

Obama has a smooth presentation, but as his voting record shows, he's the same as all the other Dems in relation to his views.  Nothing new here, just a new package.

She's as shady as they come. As one who lives in Arkansas, I know a lot of people who knew the Clintons when they were here as first private citizens, and then governor/first lady. Remember Whitewater? Well, they were guilty. And I know I'm not the only one that believes she ordered Vincent Foster killed. (that's as close as I come to a conspiracy nut).

She is definitly guilty of violating securitites laws back in the late 70's/early 80's with regards to trading in cattle futures (assisted by the Tyson Corp). Her healthcare plan was a monumental bad idea, and I agree with pundits who postulate that it was one of the things that caused the dems to lose the congress in '94.

She was responsible for firing the non-partisan White House Travel Office so that she could replace its employees with patronage jobs.

And, when it comes right down to it, people just don't like her. She's not personable, she's not charming, she's not warm and fuzzy. She comes off as cold and calculating. And right or wrong, that's not how Americans want to view matriarchial figures.

Not to mention, when she moved to NY, she killed any possibility of winning ANY southern state in a general (or really even a primary) election. And if you can't win the south, you don't get to be President. Period.

Obama is a typical Dem puppet and will turn his back on his voters like all other dems have in the past.

I want a backwoods president who hates government. I don't want to pay taxes because I don't like roads, infrastructure, police, firemen, or the military for that matter. Also, everyone should be Christian with this president.

YES. Obama has my vote. Not only does he look promising as a president, he looks promising as the first black president. He knows how to gain popularity too, makes good moves in public.

Actually a lot of people asked that Colin Powell run after the Gulf War because they thought that he would win.  Even as late as 2000, people were asking him to run.  I know that there were a lot of people in the black community that supported him.  He choose not to run, because his family asked him not to run.  I would say that he was the first black candidate with a chance of winning the election.

Today, General Powell would not have a chance because he has ruined his name by being part of Bush's administration.

I can tell you right now, he will NOT beat Hillary. . .

Flat out WILL NOT beat Hillary Clinton, no way no how! She is too powerful, and will be the lil' devisive cunt she is, and dig up some shit up on him!

She also is way more connected, has name recognition etc.  It simply will not happen. . .

Plus the man has no experience other than being in the Senate for two years. . . . cmon people he has no shot whatsoever!

She is the former first lady of a former popular president, has been in public office longer, has more campaign funds etc.  He will make a galant effort, but WILL LOSE the Democrap nomination.

He may be a nice guy, but HEY! I am a nice guy, and I dont have a presidential exploratory commitee forming on my behalf!
