So many jokes, so little time. Such an amusing line, though.Dangling between the legs, that would be a clock.
However, this is proof of concept for something I came up with a coupla years back for a forum RP; ceramic and plastic low-profile armour.

Gah, that's the BASE model. They could even create lighter/heavier variants of this. Plus, who said no to camo versions?some_random_panda wrote:
What about Camo?! If some soldiers did walk down a street wearing those, they'd be shining like mirrors for miles.
*soldier*: ...
*sniper*: Hey, shiny! Guys, look at this!
(Hail of gunfire)
*soldier*: shit! I can't get up, cause this suit weighs me down!
*sniper*: (Laughing)
*soldier*: Sniper! (targets with laser pointer)
*sniper*: (sees red dot, takes out the soldier)
...etc.
I see lots of new problems ahead...
Any one up for the robot? oooOOooOOooOO.Archer wrote:

About vision...Is the head attached, or free? If the head can move freely, a well-placed bullet to the head would create concussion, and a high-powered one could potentially break the neck or cause brain damage.Adams_BJ wrote:
hmm Its is a very noisy suit, and vision may be impared, even if very slightly. So I would worry about those to things. But still in development those can be overcomed.
If they did use it, it would probably only be during high-risk missions. I can actually see them using it with SWAT teams.some_random_panda wrote:

Will the suit's internal structure be permanently damaged? At the current rate of spending, a new suit for everyone after they sustain fire will decrease deaths, but further the spending by the US government on wars.
Perhaps a shotgun blast would rip off the head altogether. I don't know.some_random_panda wrote:
