Yeah, I know the 8800 can manage it alot easier, I just find it funny that people with 'better' cards can't run it as well.....is it because I talk to my computer? And give it late night lovin' ?!Bell wrote:
Well strickly speaking you cant run it as well as the 8800GTX, or atleast not as smooth, and certainly on games made for the card, like crysis etc that is where the huge gulf in performance and indeed price comes into light. 2142 pushes a x1600, 8800 shrugs it off as we all know, its up to the individual if he/she can justify that ludacris price tags of the latest and greatest hardware.

2 6600GT's 256mb all on high, only lags when there is a lot of smoke

I used a 6800 GT before, worked great, now have 7950 GTX.

Pretty much and two cards can be ran in SLI, though not sure where the cut off point is, I dont think 5 series nvidia cards can run in SLI though could be wrong._NL_Lt.EngineerFox wrote:

Have good component and have good components that work well together can be all the difference.Bell wrote:

A crappy 7600GS that runs it at ~20FPS, and <20 in the titans. I'm sure my 6800 could run it better.
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Ye olde AGP ATi x800XT PE. Has the odd wobble now and then but it's pretty much smooth 99% of the time. Averages 40 FPS, around 30 or so on titans.

You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.

I use a GeForce 6800 set to 420/1500 and I run 2142 on Medium Settings w/ "High Quality" graphics card settings ... get about 50 fps steady (run fraps (but dont record video) when I play)
I run BF2 on all high 2xAA with same results tho...and I thought they said they streamlined the engine

X1900XTX eats Battlefield - and everything else for that matter
Shame I can't play at the moment coz i tore the ligament in my right thumb, had it reconstructed yesterday and am now in such a huge cast that i have to use the mouse with my left hand
Looks like gaming is off for the next month. *sniff*
Still, X1900 all the way. Never sub 60 fps on 1280x1024 MAX detail (better get the 1950 though coz the 1900 is really rare now...)
Still got it on my old rig though - used to have a 9700 till it melted, then got the AGP X1300. Not too bad. Mobo is 4X though so framerate is the same on low and high (10-25) coz of the port bottleneck.
