Mabye DICE decided to add killmessages to the Titan guns
You could have shot one of the titan guns and the explosion hurt someone repairing it who was already on low hp?
That happened in BF2. It's just the guns on the bottom of the titan. What happens is (I think) you shoot, but you get out before the projectiles kill anyone. (easy to do with the bottom titan guns...)
In BF2, if you shot (for example) the F-35s cannon at some infantry then instantly bailed out, the display would show..:
...the GAU-12 being the gun on the real life F-35B.
