Although there are a few bad apples in the bunch, your constant generalization and hatred of the soldiers that ensure your freedom is excessive and uncalled for. Had anyone else said this, I wouldn't care. All one has to do is look at your post history to see where you're coming from:IRONCHEF wrote:
So fun to think of all the savory little animals that will be coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan some day! Thanks Bush for bringing foreign and domestic terrorists to our soil! Thanks for making murderers out of so many good young men who trusted you to use them only when totally necessary.

So, when I say Iraqis are animals, I get jumped on immediately (I do not think they are animals, but it is just a little experiment to see how people react to it and how they react to other things). You call US troops animals...and no big deal.IRONCHEF wrote:

Because Saddam was about to become the first person in history to invade the US mainland, using his mighty pair of fishing boats and army of soldiers who wear running shoes so as better to flee?Fancy_Pollux wrote:

not really, its a children play ground, you know where they make those little sand castlesJahManRed wrote:

It'd be interesting to know just how many soldiers have gone beyond the line of professional duty and immoral and even murderous behavior. 100? 500? 1000?
No, if anything (as a whole) they have an even greater responsibility in contributing to the maintenance of moral values and civil order at home.Bubbalo (below) wrote:
Civilians have a lesser responsibility.

You have no idea what "ensure your freedom" means, and that is very apparent from all your posts.Bubbalo wrote:

How about how much Iraq is starting to look like Vietnam?usmarine2007 wrote:
Yes, it is sad. What is there to discuss?
Well, that would not be in the thread subject matter is my point. There is nothing to discuss about this nor is there a debate. It is disgusting and sad. My point is, this will lead to this thread going in a million directions.EVieira wrote:

don't you know that terrorism didn't exist until bush was elected fancy? the fact that one of these stories come out every six months out of the stories of literally hundreds of thousands of coalition troops is proof positive that only american and israeli troops are evil, you should ignore the fact that every time it happens they get hauled off to jail, we actually encourage this behavior and provide training that reinforces it. in fact, leavenworth is actually a luxury retirement resort, they just call it a "jail" so no one finds out they're being rewardedFancy_Pollux wrote:

No need to be so bitter just because you weren't even able to complete basic training without getting discharged.
So whose freedom are the soldiers ensuring, in Iraq, right now?usmarine2007 wrote:

I don't think that invading a country that poses no threat to any allied nation actually counts as "ensuring your freedom."
As I have said before, it is an all volunteer military. If people did not volunteer, they would be drafted. Now, what do you consider freedom? Smoking pot, going to college, working whatever job you want, going to sleep and waking up whenever you want? That is freedom. Without these soldiers, most young men would have that freedom taken away from them.aardfrith wrote:

I can entirely see that defending one's own country against any threat, foreign or domestic, would count as "ensuring your freedom". I see it for the first Gulf War, I see it for Afghanistan.usmarine2007 wrote:

Welcome to the world. That is the way it works everywhere. Say you work at Taco Bell, your efforts go to make somebody rich. That person makes somebody else rich. Those rich people give money to get people elected. The rich white men would not be able to make these decisions unless the "common" man voted them in, and indirectly paid for them to get into office.JahManRed wrote:
Its commendable that people become solders to fight for their country and family ensuring that their loved ones and country remain free. There is no disputing that. The problem doesn't lay with the solders, they are generally just doing their jobs to feed their families, more with the politicians who lie to them.
When did Iraqi threaten the USA? Why are all these young Americans being killed every day? Why are they being put under the stresses of war and committing inhumane acts? Is it furthering American citizens, thousands of miles away freedom? Is it protecting their way of life?
All its protecting is a bunch of rich white men who have never seen a combat zones' political and financial interests.
That is not worth fighting for IMO.
Yeah I mean how can you just tell on all your friends cause they murdered an innocent Iraqi and its now on your concience. What a retard I would never give my friends in even if they were doing highly illegal crap constituted as murder. Dude this isnt pre primary there is no dobbers kiss robbers, Murder goes quite high up on the concience list unlike stealing a pencil or throwing a ball at someones face. Come back with the correct attitude to the situation please as im sure you wouldnt find it nice if someone pulled you out of your house shot you then called you a terrorist and attempted to justify your killing then no one telling the officials what really happend so you will stay in history as a terrorist. Im sure if there is an afterlife you would be pissed if no one did anything. Realistically its wrong to kill innocents and if you are using the primary school kid mentallity in a thing which violates the section in murder under war crimes there is something wrong there, Be realistic if it were you what would you do knowing you killed an innocent. Just let it pass?Jenkinsbball wrote:
