BF2S Forums global warming

Cause at first Mars did have a magnetic field.  Thats evident in the rocks.  As for them not melting cause mars does have a rang of temperatures like here on earth.  Being colder up north and warmer around the equator.

I've got to go to work so i'll check the thread out when I get back tonight.  I am so in the arguing mood. muhahaha

Edit: Missed the link cause of the thread move.  You know how much weaker the field is from earth's...  I mean serously its almost not there.

I think you are confusing magnetic feild with maybe ozone layer. An ozone layer blocks UV rays, as stated in one of kr@cker's sources Mars's ozone layer is not as thinck as Earth's.

Great to see that we need one topic to discuss a issue which is regarded as a global threat in a larger scale than terrorism, making the topic messy and quite hard to follow, GG!

The general consensus of global warming is that it is the effects of human industry. Not one article refuting that statement has ever been published in scientific journals. It is the opinion of scientists is that this is a very real situation that we have caused.

But don't worry about Canada. Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Environment Minister Rona Ambrose have a "plan". (What a joke it is)

Even though ice takes more space than water your point is unfortunatly not true. The water level will be higher after it has melted. Water based ice will not really make a difference as it is in water and its mass is equal to the same body of water (remebering that icebergs have part of themselves above water).
    The problem is that Land based ice will melt into the ocean => Making the water level rise. We can see that already this is a problem (land based ice melting). On the North-Pole landbases 50 times the size of Norway (I'm sorry I do not have anything you can compare it to give you a better picture of it) has melted, in 50 years time you can probably row to the North-Pole instead of ski.
    On the South-Pole large water based icebergs have already broken away from land and melted complety, clearing the way for land based ice to melt.*

Global Warming is nothing but science fiction, they have nothing to compare our temperatures to the past, accurate temperatures were taken no more than 150 years ago, and even then is nothing to take into consideration when the Earth's age is over 4.6 Billion years old. It IS constantly changing, there is very little human impact, if any. Is fossil fuel burning exactly good for our environment? No, but is it affecting enough to worry about? No.

For that you guys discuss about ocean temperature's going up? Well, how is that from CO2 build up when oceans provide most of the worlds oxygen producing plants. You can cut down every tree in the land, and there would still be a plentiful amount of oxygen to breath, from the ocean. Not to mention, there is no where  near as much gas burning products used in the ocean to cause CO2 levels to rise in the oceans. Also, saltwater lowers the melting point of water, furthermore allowing water to melt at a temperature below 0 degrees Celsius, so in the even it's at a temperature below the normal freezing temperature, it can still melt.

Therefore, the only logical reasoning for this is that the ocean temperatures are rising from liquid hot magma underneath the crust, such as the mid-Atlantic ridge, which by the way is spreading constantly everyday. Something out of our control.
