I will reply to this thread, because in the course of battle I have never earned a purple heart. I do have a purple heart though... I suicided 20 times to get it.

On a side note I was on VOIP with someone who 'earned' the purple heart for a 3rd time. It was hillarious, he was like 'noooooooooooooo' +'waaahahahahaaaaaaaa' +"why meeeeeeeeeeeee' literally, it was hillarious!!

I don't got a purple heart and i have played for 513 H......BUT i got one the first time i played BF2142....I didn't know what the hell I was doing.....I was happy when i got it because I knew that you will get points for badges and stuff, but of course I didn't get it for a medallion.

Funny thing, it was a random guy who gave it to me not the A10 Pilot who got me 99.99% of the kills in order for me to get the Purple Heart.

I always thought I would get one, along with everyone else who played for more than 5 minutes. But ya you have to be having a really bad game to get a purple heart. If my playing ever got that bad I would leave out of frustration before getting that medal...
