condolences to the kim familiy, i was also watching a review for the Zune of Cnet and guess who was doing it...James Kim...only like a month ago and now he is gone...
sad story, i have been fallowing it on digg all day long.
He shouldn't have left the car. Survival 101 says that you always stay put when lost. But it's still terrible that he had to die, and my deepest condolences for his family.
thats a tough call to make when you have been trapped for seven days, no food, or source of heat. i do think he should have stuck to the roads though.Major.League.Infidel wrote:

He died trying to save his family, thats an honorable death.

Who is James Kim?
He was a senior editor at Cnet. Sad story, I don't understand why he didn't stick to the road but at least he went trying to help his family.-[Silver.Inc* wrote:

But, back on topic - brave, brave man. RIP James Kim.
Knowing the Rouge River area pretty well. It is easy to lose those roads in the winter. You might think you're on the road but in reality you're not. Only reason I know this is because I lost the trail while cross-country skiing once, didn't realize it for awhile.
It is still a tough call to make, however it is usually best to stick together and stay put. There is plenty of food in the woods there if you know where to look. However, that does take survival training and his family was only going on vacation. Thus, I can't say anything negative about his decision.
It is a sad loss.

Stop playing games all day and read some news for once. This story topped the Iraq in all the United States news outlets.-[Silver.Inc* wrote:

He's from Australia, why would it be covered by his news outlets?bad_mongoloid wrote:

On topic, a sad story from a bad situation, that could have potentially resulted in more than one death. Most can only imagine.
FLAME!!!!!!!!! Read the story A-Hole they did burn the tires.montypythizzle wrote:

I was thinking the same thing. It's doubly painful that he could have been found just as the rest of the family had. Very sad.Major.League.Infidel wrote:
