this crap needs to change. everytime i play and air map, the air to air missiles cant hit shit. they follow for less than 2 seconds and steer off into some friendlies. the only way to kill an enemy fighter is either to get them on a flat trajectory, or with the piddleshit guns. air to air missiles should be able to hit enemy aircraft at an angle, instead of going for the exhaust port only, if a fighter is going to intersect your path, you should be able to fire a stick to hit it in the cockpit or something. and they blow hard vs. helos as well. you can fire 4 missiles at a stationary blackhawk, they track for 3 seconds, then veer around into the blue. I agree completely. Does anyone remember BF Vietnam? The Phantom had some pretty decent seeking missiles in that game. Has the technology seriously degraded?
as annoying as shitty missles are, i'm kind of glad they're not easier to use. otherwise dogfights would end way too quickly, and helos would have no chance in hell of living on maps with jets. this way, jets still own but at least they have to work for it.
