But, Japan, Korea and numerous ountries besides China celebrate it too.
So, Would you please call it Lunar New Year from now on?

I went to the Chinese new yea in Philly with my gf. They set off close to 100,000 firecrackers throughout the day. They had them lining the Chinatown section streets. Setting off 10,000 firecrackers at once is nuts. And the crazy dragons and stuff. I have some pics, might upload them later.

No, I will not and neither should you. It's called "Chinese" New Year because it's celebrating the new year in the Chinese calendar. They've had it for 5000+ years and I'm not going to accept some dufus trying to rename it out of ignorance.
