An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in God. An agnostic is someone who doesn't know if there is a God or not. Or maybe it was the other way around.Pea....Tear.....Griffen wrote:

Close. Agnosticism is the belief that it is impossible to know whether or not God exists.cowami wrote:

I'm a Brahmin. My last name means even means priest. I also had a ceremony called a Janoi. I recieved a holy string and I would be able to become a priest. In the US i don't go around saying "Im better than you." In India a few 100 years ago i would matter.Havok wrote:
Just a question for you about Hinduism... Since Hinduism was created in India many thousands of years ago and was created to work around the Indian caste system, where do you see yourself according to Hindu beliefs? What caste do you think you belong to? I'm no Indian historian, but I'm almost certain that the highest class (Brahmin I believe) is for priests, and others like warrior and artisan classes were descending from the top of the caste pyramid. I'm not challenging your beliefs, I just wanna know where you see yourself, primarily because you live in the USA, where our social system differs from that of Hindu beliefs. I'm sure you're not an untouchable...

Pretty much. Unfortunately I also do Latin and Classical Greek Taking a GCSE in it... though it's so rare that my school (i think) has to pay OCR to keep the GCSE going.Gooners wrote:

Is it because.. its a metaphorical drawer for junk-like threads? I was not trying to convey that the thread itself was pointless. More that no doubt this topic or a similiar topic has been covered before. Mmk?m3thod wrote:
