Yeah, I thought I'd get a nice box and a thick manual full of unlocks and stuff considering I was paying $10 over the standard price.

Yah, hit the play button, then click the invite button. This will bring up your Steam Friends list and you just have to click the giant INVITE button and they can join your party. Then go ahead and start finding games, you will be on the same team.
