Comes out on the 25th right? Me thinks I'm going to just wait 4 more weeks so I have enough money to buy my new TV screen and BF3 at the same time. I'd rather not play without one or the other.
Then 2 weeks after that I'll get a mouse, keyboard, and XIM3 and own controller noobs.

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.

Iron gator was arguably the best map on Special Forces.
If you lagged out on it, your gfx card was not up to par.

I still dislike consoles. I'll have less players, and the graphics won't be as good as on the PC. However, a console is $300, a PC of my liking is easily $1200, and that's just the tower.War Man wrote:

My biggest issue with consoles was the controller. Now that I've found a good way around it (XIM3) I don't mind a few less players and lower graphics.

How on earth was that map confusing to navigate? It's as simple as knowing the order of the months. Oh wait...Finray wrote:
I'm gonna stand out from the crowd here and say I fucking hated the Iron Gator. It was too cramped, too confusing to navigate
I want something that can run BF3 on high settings. I got a link from somebody here saying it would cost that much and showed me the components.
700 for the PC, then a couple more for a screen, then a mouse, keyboard, and headset.
300 for a console, a couple more for the screen, mouse, keyboard, and XIM3 is still cheaper. Plus I can dominate controller noobs with a M&K.

It's sad that you don't think you can dominate console players without extra help-Sh1fty- wrote:

I have a lot of trouble going from gaming on a mouse/keyboard from age 6 at FPS games to suddenly switching to analog controllers. I'm just playing the way I always did, and they're playing the way they always have. They can have their auto aim crap if they want, I'll take my M&K.

^You'll get use to it rather quickly and the $150 for the XIM3 would be better spent on a pair of good quality headphones for BF3's awesome sound design.
I've been playing on the PS3 for about a year now and I still suck. I'd rather stick with something I'm used to. $150 ain't bad. I know it could be spent better but controllers are something I'm have a lot of trouble getting used to, and having a 360 now hasn't had a significant improvement.
Already have headphones.

I'll be getting m copy of BF3 for the xbox on Thursday. I'll still be using the Xbox controller. I'm just as good with that or K&M.
I built my computer for less than $550 last year and it still runs BF3 on high, AA 2x, HBO on. Mind you the 2nd gen i5 came out months ago and now my 1st gen i5 750 Quad can go for less than $99, can overclock like a mofo, and is faster than a i7 920. I bet I can find the parts and rebuild the whole thing for less than $400. Most consumers either cannot shop online efficiently, you don't need the latest and greatest or fork out big $$$ to get this game working well. FFS even low graphics on PC is about the same as standard def on console.
Protip: Consoles look like PC on low settings-Sh1fty- wrote:

Can I have actual #s? Where's the closest store/best online shop I can buy a rig that can run BF3 high on? I might return my xbox...-MetaL* wrote:

The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.
