I don't think he was being stuck-up at all. That's how intense acting gets for some people. Like he ranted about in that clip, the guy was interfering with his work.
You don't go up to an artist while he's in the middle of painting something and start smearing paint all over this canvas while he's trying to paint, or start yelling at him or bumping his easel around.
When someone is singing in a studio, you don't go in the recording booth and start yelling into the mic along with them.
Actors can get very intense and deep into their work, and when they're in the mindset of their character, you best not disturb them or break the illusion in their mind that it's just a movie; not only for the actor's sake, but for the film's sake as well (who wants shitty fake acting?).
