To be honest, if you play any Total War game on anything but Hard, you're doing it wrong.

The game has never been a challenge, at all, unless you play it on max-settings. The AI in the series are notoriously stupid.

I agree. There are some changes comparing to pervious TW games. I want to get to know them and the best is to take it easy. I know I will be playing this game for long time now, cause I tend to put it all on hard after I know "when, where, how" .

Not that, heard you have to activate it on steam, then it would check for region. So if you're in Asia and get a US copy, then it won't work.

More seriously though, Haven't they come out with some feature allowing on-line parties to fight battles against you during your own campaign? If what I heard is correct (I think I may have read it here in this thread) then it should be all about the multi-player. Even the campaign uses it.

How does one "dock" a ship so they can let armies off to attack a city? I've got a bunch of troops just ready to lay siege to franceville, but cant figure out how to do it.

ok some one has to explain naval battles. I am the British and I had 6 4th rate ships of the line against 3 Spanish gallons. I lost 2 of my ships to two broadsides from one ship I had 4 ships pass the other all gave full broad sides all hitting the ship its health move a pixel. it fired one cannon and started my ship on fire. WTF is with naval battles. And why cant I hear the gun/ cannon shots?

Would anyone happen to know why my friend's game crashes when he tries to load his saved game? He got booted to desktop when he was moving his army around the map. When he started the game back up, it crashed to desktop again when he tried to load the campaign.

Sometimes my guys won't attack, sometimes they'll just stand there... sometimes they'll try and shoot in the windows which does absolutely nothing, and sometimes they'll rush inside and get slaughtered.

Ideas? My cannons aren't very... well, accurate. Not enough to take out a warehouse or so.

Total war games have always been notoriously buggy, especially with unit AI.

Wait for the patch maybe.
