Well I just tried to get my dad a nice swiss army knife or leatherman but they cost too much for my poor student budget. So as a last resort I just ordered the babylon 5 first series box set as he still has them all on tape...

My brother and sister and I pulled our money together and bought my parents a digital camera. I don't know if you have any siblings, but putting all your money together makes better gifts, like what 1927 said, a digital photo frame.
