I didn't read it. Piracy ftw.

So if you ran a knife store and somebody wanted to take one out of the display case to check out its weight and to see if it could cut cardboard, would you keep it locked up and give them a plastic blade 'demo' instead?Parker wrote:

We aren't against game publishers giving better demos...as the article itself established. I don't necessarily think inflating piracy statistics is the proper way to convince them of that.
More like would they get to take the knives home, and only come back to pay for them if they felt it wasn't overpriced.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

do you get to go to a sports game and if your team blows the goat do you get your money back? or do you get a refund if you leave by the third inning?unnamednewbie13 wrote:

If you're willing to spend outrageous sums for single ball games, you don't deserve a refund. On that same note, I can walk out of a movie showing and get a refund for my ticket if I think it's a piece of crud, but it's not worth my effort for $10.usmarine wrote:

I actually can do that, sort of, only it requires the down payment of an actual purchase before I can demand a refund. But try to get a refund for a PC game. Much more difficult and aggravating, which is why a couple dozen or so PC stinkers are still on my shelves. If there was a place around my city that didn't charge you to show up just to try out PC games (there's 360 and PS3 displays everywhere), nobody around the area would have an excuse to 'try before you buy' via piracy. There's a commercial LAN party place, but it costs ten bucks an hour.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

That SAGA clan is a piece of shit, their players are fucking shit and can't play. They also fail at updating their site tbh..Sup wrote:

Therein lies the problem. Some countries are very lax when it comes to copyright. Or even aren't that concerned with it. China being a prime example:.Sup wrote:

And how do you go about prosecuting someone from a different country? It's too hard to police unless it's very explicit what you are doing is illegal and directly prohibited in both country of origin and destination.

ARGHHHH ffs. It's not a loophole. The lawmaker has no intention of making copyright infringement stealing. It's just not the same thingParker wrote:

just like finding legal loopholes doesnt change the fact that people are stealing when they pirate software/music/movies.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
I just love being unskippably threatened with obscene fines and five years in federal prison when I pop in a legitimate piece of media. If a soup can did the same thing to me, I'd discontinue eating that brand...
I only pirate movies does that make me a good person
