America has more money than every other country entering the Olympics and spend more on technologies and training machines. There's a Boxer from Africa that they've entered and he had to train on car tyre's because they couldn't afford a punchbag for him. That's not some upcoming athlete they turned down money for, that's their guy they're entering for the Olympics.

As much as Rocky 4 shows training with cheap stuff and natural materials toughens you up, it doesn't when it comes to this high level.

I missed that. The last three days from Rocky 1 they have been showing rocky films at 4am :# (I get into funny sleeping cycles)

Quantity + High professionalism at certain sport activities.

they got good athletes with all disciplines (well at least most) but for example Netherlands was only good at Swimming. because other disciplines are like not (or to a very small amount played here)

and don't forget 300 million > 16 million

like China is coming.

comparing a country of +- 300 million with state size European countries, like "LA" (Holland ) is yeah....

bigger = more & Excellent Facilities = more Athletes at Zhe Olympics = more Medals.

only way they would loose the 100 meter sprint is when a duck runs over the track and catapulting the runner.

then again China could win a lot now too, + they will already win zhe badminton.

but they aren't specialist with most disciplines yet.

well look what china does now, and what russia used to do, the basically breed kids to be unbelievable at sports, shipping them to schools and young ages to be good, and still lose to good old US OF A

I think on that point the difference is the athletes to a certain extent do it because they like it, not forced to do it.
