After the latest update, Counter Strike Source: Beta is available as a server filter in the steam server browser.
what?
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Yeah I'd assumed they were working on it. Cool.
Might install CS again then .
Here's the option in the server browser. Even has a server listed.

Basicly what you see in TF2 - domination, nemesis, achievements, avatars on servers, etc.haffeysucks wrote:

achievements huh? that should be cool. domination, avatars, and nemesis are kinda dumb though.Jenspm wrote:

w/e, i doubt they'll mess anything up. CSS was fun and a great game, but i got bored of it after a while. hopefully this'll help get me into it again.

I don't see what possible problem you could have with steam names and avatars showing up in game.
NOOOOO!Jenspm wrote:

I hope they don't turn it into TF2. Achievements may be acceptable but nemesis and domination, avatars and whatever else can fuck right off.
Looking forward to dual core support in CSS though...
Hm, Hope it's good.
You can change your in-game name still.loop eneg wrote:

Oh, I haven't played TF2 for ages and I got the impression from his post that steam names/avatars show up in game, so even if you changed your in-game name people would still be able to find out who you are.liquidat0r wrote:

I myself can not stand coming into a server and having people know me, which is why I alias every time I play CSS.
I was typing stuff then couldn't be stuffed and realized that this is basically what I was saying.loop eneg wrote:

And to change your name in TF2, you have to do
setinfo name <name>
right? (or something like that)
because if that is it, it resets when you leave the server and sometimes when a new map loads
Who here remembers dynamic weapon pricing? Thats how much this is going to fail. But on a higher level... something close to CS promod.
