I've played with 6 iPads in the past 2 weeks (People at work, at home and 3 at my uncle's house). So far, 3 of them are just used as total gimmicks/toys, but the 3 at my uncle's house are really well done.
He has his hooked up to his house system, so he can control the music playing in the rooms, use them as TV remotes and control the lights to any room in the house. Its an setup, other than the fact that it cost tens of thousands of dollars to setup the lights, TVs and speaker systems in the first place.
They're fun and silly, but really not practical for productivity. They're also a total bitch to get to sync with 3G networks, at least here.

Not taking proper pics because there's enough 'good' pictures at 'creative' angles of Macbooks.
