I must actually stand by Finny's side on this matter. Posting pictures that huge is just inconsiderate toward everybody. It's not rocket science to check if it says PNG or JPG in the "Save As..." dialogue.

This. It doesn't matter in most cases with small images and besides png is way better for some things like printscreens with large areas of same color. Most people's internet can handle this big files anyways but it takes me fucking 70 seconds to load that image. Really. Some sense would be appreciated.
